New Sobriety Date - February 4, 2016

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to check in and drop a line about my new sobriety date of Feb. 4, 2016. Overall I was making a lot of progress last year, but around October, had that fateful drink of wine. While my drinking didn't get back to where it was previously (thank God), it's something I'm not proud of and wanted to come back here and confess.

I feel like I betrayed people for going back to drinking, and for that I'm sorry.

As with last time, my anxiety and dizziness came roaring back, so back to square one in a way (except for better coping skills this go around).

Thanks for letting me share with you all...this is a great forum and I look forward to moving things in the right direction again.

Thanks everyone...really means a lot. I'm taking this as another warning as to how insidious our affliction can be. I'm also swearing off caffeine too...been drinking way too much of that!

Yes sir, I plan on it. So glad it stopped at wine this time...had I started into vodka again it would've been really bad.
