First AA meeting.

I went. Very awkward at first. Kinda cool hearing others talk about things I relate to. And inspiring to here those that have been sober a long time. At the end of the meeting I was kinda like we'll I might go to another one. Maybe.

Then something pretty incredibly happened after the meeting. I was circled by these strangers who were giving me their numbers and hugging me. WOW it actually felt really good.

On behalf of everyone who goes to AA meetings, I want to thank you for showing up at your first meeting. It really males our day to see another person shown a route to recovery!

Yay! I was amazed when I came to AA. There really is no love like the love one drunk has for another. It's nothing I've ever seen before or since! We need each other to stay sober!

This is helping inspire me to try it. My parents really want me to go to one but I'm just so nervous about it.. that sounds like a really positive experience tho!

I have never went to a meeting that I did feel better then when I came. Not sure why but that does not make it less true.

Keep coming back

Many have found great warmth and recovery in, before and after these meetings. For sure these ones relate with the alcoholic.

I was a nervous wreck. I tried every way possible to get out of going. And I wanted so bad to hate it. But it was honestly the most empowering moment I've had in this journey.

I remember coming out of my first AA meeting the first thing I done was hug the guy who brought me I thought I was in the wrong place these were clean happy nicely dressed people some in work uniforms I wasn't expecting the kindness the simple hello from a stranger who could tell I was a nervous wreck i was offered tea & biscuts

I remember on the way home I was happy that I knew what was wrong with me it was a revelation on the other hand mrs sw cried while on the phone to my sister saying she had no idea I was alcoholic

Il always credit AA & the guy who took me there he's more a big brother than a sponser these days still I deeply respect him & I am still in contact with him today

Congratulations Vendetta
