Anything to watch out for?

I'm here just past month five, things are going great, no cravings at all, super proud of myself. Curious though, anything to watch out for? I know people relapse at dates far longer than mine. What made you relapse? What should I watch out for? Overconfidence?

I think how well things are going is almost unnerving.

I think the biggest danger is complacency and the fact you're posting here shows you're not complacent Kinzoku

Keep doing what you're doing

I relapsed because of the psychological withdrawal(post accute withdrawal symptoms)especially because I had no idea what it was or what was going on with me,other than that I always feel when you are really ready to drop the poison you will,i would always tell myself years ago I was gonna quit but would quit for a day or week but when I finally quit I was so ready, alcohol became boring, depressing, I remember my last day drinking I said I might as well get drunk,i bought a bottle of 3 olives and instead of downing the whole bottle,i took 4 shots and told myself '' im ready" and poured the rest down the drain with no regrets,im still proud of myself for that move but not so proud of the relapse, good luck!!!i

Think the video idea is great.

This was a tricky time for me because I forgot that abstinence is not control. I got this, so must not be a problem kind of thing.

You sound smarter than me. But that AV will use anything, even success, to defeat us.

You got this.

For me, overconfidence more than complacency.

Probably dropping your guard, and thinking you can drink again.

Maybe anticipate some of the hurdles you may have to face in the coming months and plan ahead?

I know for example that in a couple of months time the evenings will be getting lighter and staying warmer and there will be friends and family gatherings in our residence in the evenings and weekends, always around some excellent bottles of wine. It is something that I am already planning stratégies for because I know that it will be a danger zone for me.

Well done on your sobriety !!! Awesome.

Not remembering what it was like, thinking I can drink again with different outcomes. Being prepared for the peaks and valleys of life and recognizing that grabbing the bottle is not an option.

Daily respect for our disease.....it's doing push ups, in wait
