Mother of an adult addict

I am the mother of an adult addict; my 33 year old daughter. I am moving out of state to get away from her because she is hateful and miserable to be near.

I think you are making the only choice you have left. You can only help a person so much before you have to let them decide their own fate. If she won't decide to seek help on her own then you can't let her drag you down with her. It sounds harsh but we all are responsible for our own lives! Good luck to you seaweed!
