V Day 1
Glad you are here! The first 24 are always the hardest as you've likely been told before. About a month ago I couldn't imagine going 24 hours without alcohol. Try to get to a doctor and an AA meeting today - even if you don't think the whole program is right for you, it should help to be on the same room with people who have been where you are. Good luck and keep checking in.
Also - try not to keep thinking you are back at 0. Any progress is progress. Day 1 is the day you decided you wanted to quit drinking and taking steps to make that happen.

There are lots of different support services out there now, AA being just one. I know that in my early days AA did a lot for me but decided to take another route. I am doing well (?). Hanging here to start and clocking on for 24 hours is not a big ask. Read the posts and kick off. Thanks for coming, you'll like it.
