Well if spelling February is your worst sin of the day you're doing well!

I think you have to prepared for a little discomfort. We drank for years - it's going to take a few months at least to find a new normal.

If you can't commit to that, you have a problem cos those things that bought you here to SR are only going to get worse the more you drink.

I don't really know how to reply to that
All I can say is that's what alcohol does.
Lots of people here were suicidal until they stopped drinking.
Alcohol is a poison- its messing with your head.

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

Yeah, funny how those thoughts went away for me once I got dried out for a little while. Just like pot makes a lot of people think they want to eat, alcohol makes a lot of people think they want to die.

That's really disturbing isn't it? That it makes us want to die.
Creepy actually.

I'm pulling for you, csaw, you can do this!! I'm from memphis, and I love seeing another person from my neck of the woods here. I quit doing drugs then I quit drinking, and things have gotten a lot better for me. Really give sobriety a try. I think you'll like it : ) it seems like it's got to be better than what you've got right now. It gets better surprisingly quickly. You can do this!!!

So was I. But see, when I was an active drinker, even my sober states were messed up by my daily alcohol consumption.

Yes exactly!! It lasts for days after.
It's at least a good 3-5 days until the anxiety, depression and insomnia starts to go away.
