Day 30 Bailiffs knocking on my door trigger

Hi guys,

Hope that you are all keeping well.

I've had the week from hell, I'm still waiting on payments from clients for my business which has put me behind with my bills from the run up to Christmas. Council tax and a speeding ticket from last year amongst other things.

This week I've managed to get a few payments in but from Wednesday onwards I've had 2 separate knocks on the door from 2 different bailiffs that have totally wiped me out of the tune of nearly £1000.

It's not the end of the world as they're now paid and I don't have to keep looking out of the window whenever a van drives along our street.

This would normally send me to the booze but once again I've stood strong and get to spend another sober night with my wife and kids, albeit a little lighter in the pocket.

Life hey (sigh)

Bruno.

Glad you are keeping your sobriety as a top priority, even in difficult times Bruno. It's definitely easier to deal with these types of things without alcohol, I'm sure your wife and kids are glad as well. Don't forget SR is always here if you need support!

Thanks Wolf,

Finally I've learned that spending money on booze is definitely no solution for a financial worry.

Good decision. Drinking wouldn't get you paid faster, would solve your debt problems, and wouldn't bring you closer to your family.

Not drinking will give you the clarity of mind to keep pursuing your accounts receivable. Not drinking will give you the clarity of mind to keep directing incoming payments to the most important or high interest debts. Not drinking will mean that all the while you are spending quality time with your family which will strengthen and bolster you for your career and its challenges and rewards.

Congratulations on not drinking Bruno, as you say they are paid now.

Hopefully you will be able to collect payment from your clients soon, late payment causes problems for the company I work for too
