Probably hands down the worst part of alcoholism that I experienced from my ex was the crazy making....an absolute invalidation of my reality. And for years I did feel like I was going crazy....and he liked to keep it that way to give him an out and the ability to blame me. I've watched him do it to my daughter as well-it's abuse, and it's sole purpose is to make you doubt yourself to stay attached to your abuser and believe their distorted reality. Don't ever look to your abuser or his flying monkeys to validate the truth.
