Day 26 and losing it...typical?
So somewhere along the line today I realized I had been wearing my sweater backwards and my underwear inside out...oh, for nine hours or so...
Then tonight I was baking, took the rolls out of the oven, put four loaves of bread in the oven...and promptly forgot they ever existed, to the extent of wandering by a while later and turning the oven completely off. I've been baking that bread twice a month for maybe twenty years.
I know brain fog goes with the territory, but is this typical or am I just losing it?
I've been sober for five years at a time, ten months, four months, blablabla etc. over the years, but I don't ever remember being this addlepated...

I think it's typical in early recovery to be a bit 'off'. I still do it, cause I'm scatterbrained, as mom used to say.
Give yourself more sober time for your body and brain to heal and learn to function normally again.
