New Low
Hey guys. So every time I think I've hit the lowest I can be I somehow mess it up even worse. Right now I have no job way past due in rent and not sure how I'm going to get it. My family doesn't want to help me anymore. They're mad and disappointed as are most of my best friends who won't talk to me anymore. All I can think is what if I didn't do this or if I didn't do that everything would be so much better. I'm on 6 days no drinking so that's the only plus and I hope that helps turn things around. Thing are looking pretty dismal though
I know exactly how you feel, and all the self blame etc.
Do not go there.
Stay sober, do what you can to dig yourself out daily.
You can do this, as long as you don't drink.
You will rebuild trust.
Find a job, any legal job.
You can do it.

Sorry to hear things are so rough right now. The good thing is you have 6 days sober! Keep at it one day at a time and thing will absolutely improve. Get some sober time under your belt and then go find another job, pay that rent and get your life back. You can do this!
You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

Congrats on 6 days. I'm only at 17 so I know it's not easy at first!!
You've been on here since 2013? What have you been trying so far, and why do you think it hasn't worked? Did you quit and relapse and, if so, do you have insight about what caused it?
You can get life sorted out and it will improve rapidly if you stay sober and are proactive about getting a job. Have you been in contact with your landlord to work out a catch-up plan?

Hi lostgirll Congrats on 6 days
I would also recommend speaking with you landlord and explain you are getting a job and see what type of arrangements can be worked out for you to get caught up on the rent. No matter what though, don't drink because it won't help anything. Wishing you the best.

6 Days is great... People will respect you if you stay sober and clear.
It will help in your new job too. Smiles help too!
Believe me you are going to make it!
It is NOT the end of the world! It's only money at this point and your landlord or anyone else will have to deal with it! Your friends and family situation can be healed. But that may not be your main concern at this moment... you need to stay sober.
Do you have any things you can sell on Craigslist to come up with a little cash? Furniture, books, TV, Jewelry, Guitar?
How much stuff do you have? Can you afford to move it all into storage? Move to a lower cost place .... crash on someone's couch for a week?
Your behind on rent..
That's should be the least of your worries at this time.
Tell Landlord your situation. I am not a lawyer, but I think it takes time to evict you. So don't panic.
Focus on positives that you are making with first steps of staying sober and clear headed.
Stay sober Girl... We are here for support!

I have a roommate too so it's not just me that I'd be screwing over nothing really to sell. not for that kind of cash right now.
also stressed of how much I've disappointed everybody. Just want to take it all back

Why not go along to a meeting to get some support tonight? It can make all the difference on a tough day. And it's free.
I know it seems a long way off, but things do change as we stay sober and start to recover. Things fall into place as we get more able to function and deal with 'life'.
