Hi Carlingford - welcome back

I think a little sleeplessness is pretty common, even unavoidable, in withdrawal.

If you're thinking of any supplements or over the counter remedies I think it's always good to run those by a Dr.

Things always progressively got better for me over a week or so tho, without any meds.

There are a few common sense suggestions that may help tho

Unfortunately you have to just wait it out. This is a great challenge as lack of sleep and insomnia are often a cause of returning to drink. The only way though, is to tough it out. The road to sobriety is difficult this is one obstacle on the road and we can help you through, many here have done it and you can too.

Welcome back. I try some gentle stretching and rhythmic breathing while I try getting ready for bed. I also know that it won't last forever. Keep going.
