Weekend of TLC

So my first weekend without alcohol and I chose to give myself some tlc...

1. Didn't spend the weekend putting poison into my body

2. Purchased green tea and enjoyed a cuppa or two over the weekend knowing it would help my body repair

3. Went for a 30 min uphill walk

4. Slept in

5. Had a healthy dinner of salmon and vegtables

6. Committed to a 90 day lifestyle programme which provides food and exercise plans and an online support group

7. Resisted the numerous urges to get out my work laptop

8. Registered on SR...and posted ☺

All in all...a productive, healthy weekend taking care of me 💜

My reward every day for staying sober is waking up feeling good.

Pretty boring but cleaned this tip of a flat from top to bottom. I can now navigate my way around. Head feels less messy too. My neighbour/friend asked how much an hour I charged. Today to the shops for healthy food.

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

I totally agree with you all. Life without a hangover is a fine, fine thing. I spent mine digging out from the blizzard, Jonas. Definitely not something you can do with a hangover!

I love your idea about the 90-day lifestyle program. I might look into something like that myself.

Nova, it sounds like you are doing great. It is great when weekends are a time to recover from the week, not something to spend the week recovering from.
