40 days sober

That's pretty good for me. I haven't had a craving in a week or so. Walked by the beer section at the store. I felt neutral, no fear or craving, really not much of anything. I still have thoughts but less than a few weeks ago. I'm working on those. I'm trying to get involved in some different activities but my weekends are "booked" until the end of February (if you know what I mean). Need to be working on my 4th step but was too worn out. Tomorrow is a good day to do that.

My motivation isn't where I want it to be but it is much more than when I was hungover. Some small positives are happening to me. I just need to get in there and build on them.

Well done on 40 days. Don't rush to get the motivation. It'll get there. It took me half s year to start feeling normal. Then I tried doing too much. It's all a matter of balance. Keep going!

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

Sounds awesome and very promising. You sound better than when I was first checking in here, earlier this month. Congratulations on 40 days; can't wait until I'm there, too!

I know you're right Ruby but you know instant gratification. Gotta have it now! It's all a part of my program, I'm learning penitence er patience on the weekends. I am grateful for the small improvements and opportunities I experienced since Dec 9. One day at a time.

Good job on that -- we all want instant gratification. Seems part of the addict DNA. But good you recognise that.

Congratulations.

Delilah1, thanks. I walk up early Fridays and work so I'm real tired, sleep till late Saturday. Still some of the fellas snore and other make unhygienic sounds. A cautionary tale indeed. LOL
