wellbutrin abuse
If someone here has had experience with abuse of wellbutrin please help me out. My sister finally has admitted she has been not taking her medications for bipolar for a long period of time and has been snorting wellbutrin for 3 yrs now. She has stopped cold turkey. What are the risks? She is saying off the wall things. She cries alot. Has very high paranoia thoughts. How can I help? I myself am in recovery. Addiction runs rapid in my family. I am trying to use the tools that I know from being clean for 3 years now. But it's hard showing someone you love, who's in emotional pain, that it will pass. Anyone with experience would be appreciated. All I know is when she snorted the wellbutrin it was like a crack cocaine high. Should the withdrawal be treated as that? Withdrawling from crack cocaine? Thanks in advance!
i have NEVER heard of someone snorting wellbutrin......but i found this link which may be helpful.

Please get your sister medical help.
I don't want to alarm you, but this situation is extremely dangerous.
If you can get her to the ER, I would recommend taking her. If she won't go, I would call an ambulance.
Sending you hugs, I'm sorry you're in this situation.
