I'm an alcoholic my name is UK documentary on right now
Thanks soberwolf. Watched it. Very moving and inspiring. Was amazed when one woman admitted that she used to sit in the supermarket toilet pouring vodka into water bottles then disposing of the bottle in the sanitary bin. This was me a month ago and I used to think I was so clever to have thought of it. Day 12 for me and getting stronger 😊

Thanks Soberwolf. Just watched it. I thought I was the only person who used to top up soft drink bottles with vodka in public toilets and dispose of the empty vodka bottle in the same way! On my 19th sober day and very grateful to SR and AA for the support that has been generously given to me.
Watching this on plus one. So glad to see this horrible disease get the exposure it needs from "normal" citizens. I especially loved the quote "no one understands an alcoholic unless they are an alcoholic" - this to me is very true.
You can catch it here if it doesn't play il try & find a YouTube version later if its available as it only came on last night

I watched it thought it was brilliant. Totally related to so many things in it.
I hope a lot of people that don't suffer this disease see it as most are quick to criticise. I also think health professionals could learn more by watching this and understanding addiction isn't something that you can just say no to.
