Side Effects of Sobreity

I haven't been on in a long time, but I'm 11 days sober again. I've ran into a new side effect. My sides hurt, my lower abdomen hurts, lower back hurts, and my cheeks hurt. My only deduction is that I'm standing taller and smiling something I haven't done in a long time. I'm ok with this. Stay strong my brothers and sisters in this battle.

Glad you're back and sober, to boot.

Congratulations, maybe you should get a quick check up, gives peace of mind. Do you have a plan in place to keep on keeping on sober?

All the best Andrew

I've been donating plasma as much as I can. It gives you a brief idea where your health is at bp/heart rate/ weight/ protein levels/ and iron levels. I know this isn't a real exam or medical evaluation but it is about as much as the doctor does anyway.

Glad you are back and congrats on your 11 days. I know the pain of the body while being in recovery. I wish you the best.

My job depends on it. I just got a 2 dollar raise to be the lead tech. I have to prove that I'm worth it. Not to just my boss and company but for me. My outward appearance needs work, also my inner appearance needs just as much or more work. I can't be boozing to reach the levels I want to be at both personal and professional. I refuse to go to the fridge for any refreshment (that is where the beer is stored). I don't go out after work because I have better things to do. Also observing the hubby's behavior while he is drunk is turning me off of booze as well. But I plan to doing some meetings.

Not drinking puts a lot of extra cash in your bank, too. Congrats on the raise! That sounds like an excellent motivator to help keep you sober.
