Feeling agitated
As Dee states it's very rough at the start however everything gets better, not sure when you stopped but I too had those feelings the first few weeks, they come and go, I simply acknowledge the feeling and let it go or go for a walk which I realize is hard to do at work.
The 27th will be here before you know
it. Don't let it sneak up on you. While you
still have lots of time you can work at this
time to have a plan in place to secure your
recovery and sobriety in place.
Share about your trip with us and
who all will be involved. You'd be
surprised that when you talk about
what your fearful off and looking
for ways to avoid failure, relapse
on a trip or function, many of us
have been there, done the same
similar things and found a healthier
solution to incorporate in our recovery
to avoid making a slip.
Between now and then, which is
a good amount of time to work
on "putting money in your recovery
bank" as a good example, going to
meetings, learning more about
your addiction and its affects on
your own body and mind and those
around you.
Have a friend or someone you
trust to be beside you to be supportive
in guiding you away from situations
on this trip that would cause you to
drink or use some sort of control,
poisonous substance.
In order to be successful in your
recovery life means you will have
to put work behind it each and
everyday you remain sober or clean.
You can still enjoy ur trip if you
want to with a recovery program
in place to insure a safe, healthy,
secured foundation to rely on.
If your not ready for this trip
and would rather pay more
attention to your early recovery
to build a stronger, solid foundation
to live upon for future trip, then that
to me would show me that you are
wanting to do whatever you need
to do to put ur recovery first and foremost.
That to me show me that you are
learning to be responsible in your
life and recovery and that will
give you lots of money, so to speak
in your recovery bank to draw upon
when you need it down the road.
We are here in SR to share helpful
suggestions to guide you along in ur
recovery journey, so never hesitate
to ask us what you need, not necessarily
what you want.
Guiding you with understanding,
compassion, ESH - experiences,
strengths and hopes of what our
lives were and are like before, during
and after our addiction.

Some people say they made it through early sobriety without feeling agitated at times.
I don't think I believe them. I was ate up with it. People who had been through it before told me it wouldn't last.
They were right.
You can do this!
