Yesterday
Remember all that stuff from yesterday?? It's gone, done - finished forever and exists only as mere shadows in our minds. Good riddance! The memories of guilt and remorse are only useful by changing what we do tomorrow. We need to get unstuck from the muck, move forward and let the past die a quick unfettered death.
Most of us as newcomers did not get here on a huge winning streak. Something, an event or a culmination of events lead us to hit our heads hard enough to wake us up. We are fortunate to have had that opportunity. But far too often we read here of such remorse of the past one cannot move towards tomorrow and live today.
It is common for those feelings generated by our bad behavior to cause us undue anxiety as we remember. Please consider that the majority of human beings have some level of regrets at what could have been, lost opportunities and pain we caused others. We step in holes, all of us but we don't have to stay in them.
As we progress into a new year, let us tip our hats to the past and say goodbye. Let us look brightly with hope and faith towards tomorrow while living our best today learning from our mistakes. Let us step away from the debris, clean up as we can and trudge the road of happy destiny together without fear. It's only life..........
Our history lies before us, a new past we will begin to forge tomorrow based on what we decide to do today.
In 2016 may merriment abound in your heart !!
