Still Sober but Sick and its wierd
I hope everyone has a good safe sober new year. I am and am grateful. Not so fun is that I have a bad stomach baug and am throwing up and craping myself like crazy. Even worse my two precious boys 9 yrs and 15 months have got it also. I have been thrown up on around 8 times so far and I really hate seeing them this way. I have not thrown up in a day or so but have a wicked sour stomach and it makes me think of how I felt this all the time when I was drinking. Diarrhea the occasional vomiting and generally constant sour tummy was something I lived with while drinking and it did not seem so bad. So crazy. Now I am sober and it feels really lousy. The illness I mean. Being sober is great and the super nuts thing is that when I was drinking I would have probably, no definitely, have drank while sick. Making it all worse. I guess my point is I am experiencing life on its own terms and being sick and sober is weird because it makes me feel like I did when I was drinking. Anyway I just wanted to share. Thanks everyone. I will be around when I am not reading thermometers

You should check the news. The Norovirus has been hitting all over the place. I just recovered from it as well as my neighbor and other we know. It was the worst stomach virus I've ever had and I was bedridden for two days. My stomach is still gurgling as I type this but at least I'm not spewing from both ends as I was the past two days.
Also, I've been sober and am enjoying a sober New Years which is really something else.
