Congrats JS!!!! On shotgun! You got it as I feel exempt from it. I just wanted to say hello in mine!
Thanks Dee for the flip! On top of it this week huh? Lol we convinced Anna to go to 600 last week.
RedAndy ... Congrats on having your first sober holiday since the 80's. Now that you woke up from your alcoholic dream you might find no high hair this year.

I am having a wonderful holiday weekend. Yesterday I adopted a new cat, a rescue, since I had to put my mom's old cat to sleep.
Now I have four cats again. Balance is restored to the universe.

I don't know Ken, I don't like winning on a technicality

Do any of you do new years resolutions?
If so, what is your plan this year?!
So far don't drink, stop smoking, lose 10 lbs and clear up any debt ( pretty standard)

Do you have a pic?!
What's the name of the cats? What are/ were they like?

I have some very deeply personal growth changes that are near ready to execute on. Not really resolutions per se, but things that have been in wait for a long long while. I will be very joyful if I can get where I want to be. The tortuous did beat that hare now didn't he!
Sober since October

JS - Have a good day at work.
As for NY resolutions - I prefer to write my resolutions every day, because NY's resolutions "magic" proved to be....not so magical. I adopted Brian Tracy's technique when you write at least ten things you want to accomplish within the next year every day. Even if you don't know yet how to achieve them. THe idea behind this is to "feed" your subconscious with it every day. I was a little bit sceptic, but had a huge backload of things to resolve. So I started. When just in a week a accomplished a very emotionally tough task which I had been postponing quite a long I decided it was worth continuing. I started it half a year ago. I am done with, I think, 5 points out of initial ten. Once I complete one, I add another one to list.
So, to make a long story short, maybe, make a NY list and then keep it going through the year?

Good share, thanks xo
My daughter named her Franny and there's a picture of her in my "old cat" thread in newcomers. She is exploring the house and doing very well. She was my Christmas present to myself.
My resolutions are exactly the same as yours, JS. I also have to get a full-time job. But those are always my resolutions, so I can start now. Except the smoking. Waiting until the first to do that. I did quit for a while there, but - life.
Good morning eveyone!
Happy Saturday -I have no plans for today. Just a couple of errands this morning along with a dog walk.
midnightblue. ..I really like that method of listing goals that you told us about. I'm going to try it. I know goals are more likely to be accomplished if you write them down.
We have snow coming today, they say. I am ready. ..plenty of good food in the house, movies, but....gotta get some GAIN...original scent, of course.
