Hot red ears and flushed face caused by alcohol?

This used to happen to me a lot when I was drinking and in between binges mostly. Ever since I quit I haven't experienced this. Coincidence? or was this caused by the alcohol? Or even withdrawal between binges?

I remember it happening more between the binges, like at work in the break room. Never once associated it with alcohol. Thought it was allergies or premenopause.

I get dark circles under my eyes now too within 20 mins of having a drink.
Look great- have a wine and dark circles come out of nowhere, its weird

Yes, it is the alcohol. If I remember correctly, drinking causes the small blood vessels to dilate and that causes the redness. Given enough time, I believe it could become permanent. I recall my parents remarking on an aquaintance who had a very red nose and was an alcoholic.

^This. Alcohol can trigger rosacea and psoriasis in people as well as many other various skin abnormalities.
