Did I think of drinking over it? Not even once. I knew it wouldn't help and would only make a bad situation worse.

What I'm doing to soothe my spirit and feel better is adopting another cat. She's coming over this afternoon. She was a rescue and the lady that rescued her can't keep her anymore.

I need another cat and I thought it would be the perfect present to give a good home to a needy cat. So I will honor Timmy's memory by giving the same good life to this new cat that I did for him.

Life is still life, with its ups and downs, but I don't have to drink over it.

I love you least...and I know how hard this is.
The best thing I ever did in my life (apart from getting sober) was adopting Venus.
And this only happened because I lost my beautiful Jazzy cat to diabetes.

Our furbabies come to us at exactly the right time I think... ♥

She's here now, exploring upstairs. She's quite friendly and lets me pet her. I know she'll do fine here. All I'm waiting on now is for the lady to get her shot record from the humane society so I can bring it to my vets.
