Merry Christmas Sober Recovery!
It's Christmas morning on the west coast of Australia - nearly 8am as I write this.
I found SR in January of this year and am glad I did. I stopped drinking on Jan 26th 2015 and with medication, SR and some will-power I have managed not to drink anything since.
I've written some stuff here in the past which wasn't all that friendly, so sorry about that.
SR has been a very helpful part of my recovery and I'm grateful for its existence and for all the nice people who come here and cheer on the alcos like myself. Even if I think it can be saccharine sometimes, it's better than being depressed and negative.
So thanks to you all! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and new year period.
I'll be drinking the two types of beer I've come to love over the past 10 months - ginger beer and root beer.

Don't sweat it DD, almost a year Sober is fantastic, you made it happen and that's something to be very proud of indeed, SR is here in both the good times and the bad times, that's what support is all about!!

I hope everyone's had a nice day and managed to stay sober.
Lots of booze at my relative's home and my brother (whom I dislike a fair amount) even asked me to fetch him a beer. Which I did.
No drinking here. Except ginger beer and water.
