I don't have any left.
I just finished a round of golf , having lunch and the guy i played with says i would like to buy you a beer for Xmas, i know the guy because we are both in the men's club at the coarse and we have played in charity tournaments in the past, he is a heavy drinker and most of the time i see him, he is either drunk or well on his way, what works for me when asked to have a drink is to not try and dodge the question but to just say it, so i said, no thank you ,but thanks for the offer i do not drink anymore,he said good for you and i wish you well with that, i was there for about an hour and i noticed he kept a close eye on me. when i was leaving he came up to me in the parking lot and with a serious expression on his face he asked me what was it that made you quit ? i could have given him 4 or 5 pages as to why but instead i said the first thing that came to me. I said i just don't have another hangover left to give, i am all out, being drunk and having hangovers go together and when your out of one your out of both,i just don't have what it takes to pay the band anymore,i choose to be sober the rest of my life and no matter what i will not take that first drink, thought it was worth sharing DAY 12.

Really well done on 12 days! Sounds like you may have had a positive influence on somebody else too. He followed you and asked about it, I remember doing this a few times when I was unhappy about my drinking, the good answers all added to my getting ready to tackle it for myself.

You read my soul. I don't have another either. Just sick to damn death of them and the self hatred that follows. Bully for you. Only one word. I don't ever want to drink again either but don't put a huge weight over your head saying you wont ever again, it gets really heavy after a while. Just rock that goal a day, hour, or hole at a time. Much respect.
