Hello all
Hello all
I am someone who drinks very, very little. For example, I have a bottle of Irish Whiskey I received as a gift 11 years ago, it is still 80% full.
I used to drink a lot when I was in my late teens to early 20s, nothing especially impressive happened to make me stop, I just lost all interest in it. I joined up because a person in my life has an increasing problem with hard alcohol, I will create a topic about it later after I look around a bit. I have never had to reach out for help before, so I am a little uncomfortable about doing it.
Please be patient with me.

Hi Archer, can I suggest you start your topic in the Friends and Family of Alcoholics? The 'stickies' at the top of the Forum, contain a wealth of information, then when you're ready to post you'll find many responders who understand what you're going though.
I'm sure your discomfort will be replaced by relief that you can reach out anonymously to like-minded people. It can take a great burden off our shoulder to share.

Hi Archer,
For me, SR posting, reading and support has been an essential part of sorting through a jumbled mix of emotions, thoughts and experiences.
There is no right or wrong for your experience. Please feel welcome to share and receive support without judgement.
