I didn't think this one through.

From my office door, only 10 feet away is a box of wine sitting on top of the staff fridge. Just sitting there all by itself waiting.

I think I've looked at it about 1000 times today.

We have a very lenient office where I work. Anyone, at any time, can grab a beer from the fridge, or a wine, or whatever, and take a break, or work. I could, right now, get up and grab a glass and sit right back down at my desk.

This is a bit hard right now. I closed my door, but it just opens back up in a minute by someone asking something.

GAWD!!!! I can feel my adrenaline, my heart beating faster. This is crazy!

Can you write down a list of reasons why you don't really want that glass of wine in the long run?

It can be the positives or negatives, whatever you want. What will really happen if you have just a glass of wine at work? And on the flip side what will happen if you don't have a glass of wine at work? Play the tape the whole way through as they say.

Also for the future bring yourself a special type of drink you can have instead or chocolate or whatever so you don't have to feel like you are missing out.

List of reasons why I DON'T want that glass of wine:

1. I have succeeded in not drinking for five days already;
2. I have made a promise to myself to stay sober;
3. It would not be just ONE glass of wine;
4. I would be very disappointed in myself.

List of reasons why I DO want a glass of wine:

1. ...

Good for you to go on a walk and put the wine out of sight. Push through - you are stronger than your cravings.

Gee, it would be a real shame if that wine box sprung a leak by someone accidentally shoving a ball point pen through the side when nobody was looking...

Seriously, though, couldn't you just move the wine box into a cupboard? People normally keep tea bags in cupboards, so wouldn't seem odd to keep wine there. If someone sees you move it and wonders why, you could just laugh and jokingly say you were being distracted by it, and have too much work to do. They would laugh too. They wouldn't need to know how serious you are. Every time someone leaves it out, just put it back in again. They'll get the message soon enough. Out of sight, out of mind as the saying goes.
