A Reminder - 6 Months Sober!
I'll have 6 months on the 16th. To say my life has drastically changed is an understatement. For the better.
I've had a few cravings to drink, but none strong enough to pull me back to the dark side.
I felt the urge to post tonight, as I haven't for awhile. Walking my dog, I heard a bottle break in the parking lot. We were still far away, so I just stopped and watched. A lady got out of her car and stumbled to her apartment. Car door left open. I walked up to see what the noise was. A broken Svedka bottle laid on the concrete, the smell enough to make me gag.
Walking away, I passed the lady, she said "hi" and I knew she was smashed. She went to pick up the broken glass and headed back down to her apartment.
Reminded me of six months ago. A dark, lonely, scary place. A place I hope I never see again.
Happy holidays, all. Stay sober and strong!

6 months is awesome! I saw a guy at a restaurant tonight wasted dancing by himself in front of the band in front of the whole place making a complete fool of himself. He thought he was the life of the party. So glad that never has to be me again! So embarrassed for him.
