It's official....
I am going to have coffee with a man. No, it's not a date-just two people that have dealt with losing a marriage and love to alcoholism. Not a date but yeah, kind of weird and new territory for me. Will be nice catching up with him and just talking
Peace y'all!

It's nice to talk with someone that has lived it, you know? Outside of an Alanon meeting! I knew for years that his wife struggled with alcohol but never broached the subject. No-it's totally nothing! But it's still weird, ya know?! My life is me and the girls. Period.
A man!! Don't do it FOG!!
Seriously, one thing I have learned as I have gotten older is how everyone has insecurities and their own issues to deal with. Also that the vast majority of people just want to connect and be decent, as we do. I get to travel a lot and have a lot of one off encounters, both work and socially, people that don't owe me anything, and I am constantly stuck by the gentleness and kindness of most people.
Enjoy your time, in all likelihood he just wants to kick back over a coffee and connect and chat. And thats nice. So you can be yourself and do the same.

Good for you! It's nice to get out and do something different or a something a little out of our comfort zone.
I went on a nice Harley ride with a great group of people over the summer. I haven't been on a bike since I was 19 yrs old!!
Have fun, you deserve it!
