1 month

Hey guys, just wanted to update you that I have one month today. I'm feeling strong and positive, and life is generally really good right now. One thing I had to do was breakup with my boyfriend, and put my sobriety first. I'm going to really work on me, and putting my life together so I am really proud of who I am. Many of you suggested before that I wait at least a year sober to get into a relationship. I am going to do that this time. Excited for what lies ahead in this sober life. Only I can mess this up.

Congratulations Lucie -- good job and that first month sets the groundwork for our sobriety.

It's hard for most but, from what I've seen in early sobriety it truly is best to wait a good while before getting into a relationship. And as much as I love recovered drunks and addicts remember, once you have some sober time there is nothing wrong with dating a normie. (Sometimes) they have less drama in their lives ?
