My old best friend is coming to see me.

I am over the moon, he is also friends with one of my counselors and I haven't seen him in 10 years.
I 'M PICKING HIM UP FROM THE TRAIN STATINON ONSATURDAY NIGHT AND THE DAY CAN'T COME QUICK ENOUGH.
hE'S ONE OF THOSE SPECIAL FRIEND AND AN ABUNDANCE OF KNOWLEGE .
This has made my day.
Also today I am going to visit my mum in the old folks home as she is worried about me
The last time i was their i snuck into the free bar they have there for friends a nd families of patients. NEXT THING i KNEW I WAS A WOKEN BY A NURSE ASLEEP IN MY MOTHERS BED.
LETS HOPE IT WONT HAPPEN AGAIN. SOOO EMBARRASSING.

Only in Ireland would you have a "free bar" in the old folks home.
Nothing like that in the US paddy, or my mom and I would have
been fighting over the free booze and who got her bed to sleep it off
The apple didn't fall far from the tree in my case. . . .

I'm sure you Mom will be happy to see how well you're doing.
Enjoy your friend, and your visit with your mother.
Let us know how it all goes if you feel like sharing--

Enjoy your friend's visit. That sounds great.

As to visiting your mom, you can do more than "just hope" that it doesn't happen. You know that the alcohol is there so you can plan accordingly to avoid it. Spend your time showing your mother how well you're doing.

Bring something to drink with you. An expensive craft soda, or sparkling water, or a nice juice- just something that you can sip on.

Im just back, my mum doesn't drink it was my day was a violent alcoholic, we poke today at large of my early days as to how that I turned iut theway i did. The famous ouestion??? and I rmeminic d on one chridtmas mornnig when my toy tricycle as in-beddded in the hardwall bow still in tack with message from santa.
She said my God yoy were only 3 when that happened.
I was 4 when he stuck a shot gun in her mouth and i Remember that that vividly, there were lots more sleeping rough in parks in case he killed us all.
I decided to cheer up the conversation and wheeled her around the home avoiding the Bar and we spoke about good times, I brought her her favorite diabetic biscuits and she was chuffed'''

She still doesn't understand alcoholism and probably never will but i'm cool with that.
We had a nice day, i kissed her and told her i loved her something i have only doing recently and shes said she loved me back
