100 days
100 days later and I am very glad to be sober. Physically I feel so much better and my mind is clear.
So much has changed in the last 100 days. I've moved, changed jobs and dealt with life without alcohol. It hasn't been easy, but good decisions were made without alcohol to influence my decisions.
I am not where I want to be emotionally or in my personal life. Now that I am finally moved and getting settled, I am working on a plan to really get involved in life. I just have to remember to take it one day at a time and not expect things to be different immediately. Since I was a home drinker who isolated terribly, I ended my "drinking career" with no real friends. It has been a very lonely life the last few years. Slowly I will re-build my life.
Rehabilitating yourself post alcohol is not a fast process. Just stopping to drink is not enough. Dealing with why I went down that road is important. Making positive changes to better myself and life will help me stay sober. This is not an easy journey, but it is a journey that is and will continue to be worth it!

You're not shackled to not drinking, you're free from drinking

Congrats! I'm not far behind you and am working on some of the same issues. The great news is you have the opportunity to do that. It really wasn't possible while drinking.
