The Girl On the Train
I liked the book a lot. Although I didn't experience blackouts, there were other parts of the main character's narrative that hit home.
Apparently, the movie version will be set in the U.S. That kind of bummed me out, as did news that the lead is apparently going to Emily Blunt, one of the skinniest actresses around. It would ring more true if it stuck to the book, with the main character struggling to find clothing she can fit into.
But I'll still go watch the flick, I know.

We have a long thread about this fantastic book in the Book Section:

I read the book last winter, right after it was published. I'm picky about the books I read, because I'll never be able to read all the books I'd like to read, and because reading is a kind of commitment. The thread here on SR did not yet exist.
A lot of books are over-hyped so, as usual, I combed through many reviews and made the decision to buy it. I couldn't put it down.
Paula Hawkins tells a great story and demonstrates a nuanced understanding of human suffering and the relentless eccentricities of interpersonal relationships.
Read it before the movie ruins it.

Hi Bunnez.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE books like that. Yay!!
I thought I was the only one who pondered if certain books were written just for me
I bought Everything Mind today and am convinced the author was reading my recent thoughts in the past year and therefore I was led to it at this exact time.
Happy reading xox
