Christmas package

So my husband is at a nine month program and will not be home for Christmas. I'm gonna send him a package but I'm so stuck on what to get him. So far I've gotten him a few clothes and a picture book of the girls. Any suggestions? Trying to not spend too much as money is tight.

Megsy.....last year, I sent my son a book----a collection of the very best short stories from the past hundred years. He really liked it....
I got it off Amazon at a really good price. They have many such collections....

You might want to check with the program as to whether they have any restrictions on what you send--I'd do that first, just so there's no problem. Some places may not allow food gifts, for instance.

If he likes to read, yeah, books are a great choice. A nice notebook and pen set is a nice gift, too, or a journal.

If he's a music lover, an inexpensive mp3 player loaded with his favorite music is another idea.

I was going to suggest a book too. There is a book called 10% Happier and it's about a news reported who struggled with and overcame addiction.

Also, candy. I have read many times now that freshly recovering addicts crave sugar because that's what alcohol metabolizes into in their bodies.

I think I'm getting my AH a sweatshirt, some unique flavored chocolate bars, a book about meditation and a journal. Wham, bam.

Slippers. MP3 player and ear buds. Thick socks. Soft drinks or snacks if allowed. Markers and adult color books that you see now, supposto reduce stress.
