Well, today is the day I find out what my penalty for my first (and will be my last) DUI will be. Today is day 4, and my anxiety is through the roof! Drinking is not on the table anymore, just looking to get it out. Thanks everyone.

Focus on sobriety, on acceptance, on taking on the responsibility to deal with your sentence with grace and humility and realize that it is not the end of the world.

Congrats on day 4. Not to be harsh but statistics show that majority of DUI first time offenders end up with a second one (I am one of them).

I took me two DUI to smarten up and see the problems alcohol was bringing me. Hopefully this will be your first and last and you won't have to deal with the problems a second one brings.

Well...at least some good news. Apparently something that i didn't know is that WI is the only state in the country that doesn't charge a DUI as a misdemeanor crime. (Charged as a traffic citation in municipal court). $1200 fine and 8 months suspension and interlock device for a year.
