I'm sorry for your loss, hopefull. Please don't drink over it. It won't change anything. Perhaps you can honor your friend by remaining sober. I'm sure that is what he would want for you. (((HUGS)))

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm with everyone above that said "don't drink." It won't make things better. Is there anything positive you can do for his family and friends right now? Children?

I lost someone to suicide. It is so hard. I'm so sorry. Hang on, don't drink. It doesn't seem like it, but in my experience drinking just makes the grief deeper and wider. It's harder to do the processing you need to when you're incapacitated, so instead you just feel the same feelings again and again. ((hugs)) Again, so sorry.
