You're not so far away...
It can seem impossibly distant. Like a journey of ten thousand miles over open desert. No supplies. No shelter. No hope.
You can look to the horizon and see craggy, towering mountains. And you've never learned how to climb.
But please, believe me. Listen closely. Trust for a moment, for I've been there.
That frightening chasm is actually an illusion. True, there are challenges. But the image you're seeing right now is magnified. It's a big screen version. The projectionist is your addict. Up in the booth she's terrified that you'll choose to make the journey. He's going to show you the scariest things he can. To drive you back to the bottle. To make you run to those pills. Snort that stuff. But that image you're seeing is just a tiny piece of film blown up to monster proportions.
Flick off the light, look behind the screen. Better yet, open the windows. Burst through the door. Let in the light.
You're not so far away at all. There's a much greater show. Technicolor, surround sound, 3D and as deep and rich and vivid as you might imagine heaven itself to be.
It's Life. The real, unhazed stuff. The pure adrenaline. Full, pure, uncut, ten-thousand proof LIFE.
It's just around the corner, baby. Don't let those scary images fool you. Grab it. Grab it with all you've got.
