Lightbulb I can see clearly now weekender November 13

I knew when I drugged on a random Tuesday that perhaps I had a problem.

I knew when I had a shot glass in my hand at 6am that perhaps I had a problem.

Seeing clearly then was me saying to myself that at least I went to bed before that 6am drink and not still up.

The bending of light in the direction of addition never yields a rainbow.

Yet I saw clearly.

Perhaps you see clearly today.

It all started to make much more sense when I accepted I knew far less. Saw far less clear than I knew I did.

I still bristle some days at the acceptance of being a drunk druggie. I want to see clearly.

But the reality is we don't. We cannot always see where our foot will fall next. That's when a huge warm welcoming hand was held outstretched to me. SR. They saw clearly. A collective.

That hand is held outstretched to you now. *Ring Ring* goes the sober bells of freedom.

Together we will all see clearly.

Can you hear it? I can!

Welcome to your sober weekend!!!

I'm on!!!

Excellent opening K! I first began to see clearly last year, a view of reality that terrified me but also motivated me to action.

Oh, and Canguy needs to call something.....

Good morning! Great intro, Weasel. Seeing life around me, checking things out with an unclouded lens - loving it. Totally real.

I'm in! I remember being afraid to face reality and becoming completely sober, it seemed too painful. I absolutely love seeing clearly now and these fears seem distant and irrelevant. It's amazing how becoming sober opens your eyes and shifts your perspective. The freedom and clarity that come with it is the most beautiful gift from life. I wish it for everyone struggling and reading this now.

Congrats, canguy! Fair's fair.

Thinking about bimini today, good luck, go get 'em!

Hi tufty, welcome to the weekend!! Best of luck on your second weekend!! Hollar if ye need anything.

Best of luck with new job Bim!! We are all rooting for ye!!!

I'm sorry to report, but I'm feeling a slightly christmasy already! This has never happened to me before. I just set up a virtual Kris Kindle for my family that pairs members of the group up automatically, so no errors will occur like in previous years. Finally, I found a use for the interweb.

welcome to the weekenders canguy - SG, ghostface and tufty... and verte, long time no see...
alarm set for 0615 - I woke up at 0610 and 'hit' the cancel button. at 0615 it proved me wrong and I had to go back to the kitchen to shut it up... what dentist starts at 0730? Mine does. I'm skipping coffee this AM, just water and shower and off...

Seeing clearly... In the first few months I still wasn't 'seeing' clearly. Then it all started to make sense... don't be discouraged in the first few months.
You'll be amazed how things start to clear up before too long.

I'm in and happy Thursday everybody.

Fantastic start Ken!

Good luck Bimini on the job and Tufty on your second sober weekend!

Behan, I've got to admit I'm feeling Chirstmasy as well. Seeing as it's mid November, and in a couple weeks December will be here, the feeling is probably justified. Heck some of the stores have had their Christmas stuff out since the beginning of October! I just noticed yesterday that Santa is gracing his presence at our local Bass Pro shop starting November 14 this year; that's two weeks earlier than last!

Hope everybody has a great and sober Thursday.

I'm on!
Been listening to some old Tony Robins CDs rented from the library. Good stuff. Pretty much evrything he talks about on this particular set applies to recovery.
"CANI" Constant and never ending improvement itstalked about alot. Nothing wrong with listening to a guy tell you how to create positive change in your life 30 min every morning.
Good morning evryone!
