Today is my 1 year sobriety anniversary. I'm very grateful that I've found a life worth living. It took a long time for me to get this right, but once I had a plan things started to fall into place. My plan today is different than it was on Day 1, but one thing that never changes is that the foundation is based on not drinking. When my life or the plan goes sideways as they sometimes do, there's still that foundation and if nothing else gets me through then it's holding to my commitment that I do not and will not drink alcohol.
I'm grateful for many things in my life, and SR is one of them. I don't know if a day has gone by in the past year that I haven't spent time here reading. Thank you to all of you here who support my sobriety and recovery. Whether you are aware of it or not, you really do make a difference all the way from those of you not yet able to quit to those of you with years of sobriety.
