Woke up feeeling hung over

it's been ten days since my last drink but this morning I woke up feeling Hung Over - sicky inside, lack of concentration and tired.

that kind of phantom hangover is actually pretty common...do you drink a lot of coffee? maybe you're dehydrated?

If you need a Dr., see one.

I felt like hell for weeks in the morning. Still do sometimes.

The body is healing from years, in my case, of boozing off and on.

Some of it is natural melatonin hang over. (Maybe?)

I always eat a decent breakfast now to get the blood sugar set.

I learned the pancreas doesn't know what to do w out the booze sugar.

So there's that...

It's happened to me too, a few times. Usually goes away once I'm up for a little while. After a few months sober now, for me it has alot to do w/hydration as Dee mentioned. I've noticed this hangover feeling usually when I don't drink enough water the day before. I still "forget" to drink water like I did when I was drinking (and I never cared about the "why" I felt bad because it was because of the hangover). Now sober, these physical feelings as well as mental feelings are all pretty new to me....still learning how to deal.

But also, during that first few weeks, though my physical symptoms were mild compared to most, they were all over the place. Went from feeling great, to crap in a New York second.....but happening less and less over time. When I feel bad, I just try to push it aside and trudge through and sometimes just forget I started out the day that way and all is okay.

Congrats on 10 days!

I've woken up a few times feeling hungover......it usually happens when I haven't slept well. Never thought about possibly being dehydrated........I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the post.
