Still here ... and thank you!

I apologize for my drunken rant the other night. You all tried to help but I was too out of my head to listen. I am medicating myself out of a recent binge and Day 1 is tomorrow. I can do this and I will. I am done. I did not move to a new town and a new state to live that ugly life. Thank you for supporting me. I WILL do this.

We know you can do it, DS. I'm so glad you haven't given up & you didn't let this setback take you down.

I think I will actually enjoy the rollercoaster. It is much easier than a life of drunkenness. Thank you for that, though. You guys are my only support system, so I will be relying on you heavily.

Good to see you back, Desertsong, and committed to sobriety. A choice you'll never regret.

Nope, will not ever regret leaving that poisonous life behind. I am done. Thank you all for being here for me. You are all I have right now until I get hooked up in my new home. And you are enough. Just please keep pouring the good thoughts my way. Bless you and thank you.

Hi Desert Song. Hang in there. I know you've had a rough time of it lately, but you've also proven in the not too recent past that you're capable of doing it. You can be sober, work, and be there for your son. You're amazing!

Stay close here, go to meetings if you can for support. Best of luck. You really can do this!

I feel like crap, but it's "recovery crap" and not drunken crap. Feeling the nasty effects of withdrawal, but I am actually welcoming them because they mean I am leaving that miserable world behind. I hate feeling like this but it also excites me because I know that this hell is my passage to wellness. Is that dumb?

Moving is always a stressful time, but you can put that behind you now and focus on doing what you can to take care of yourself.

Hey Desert, I recently moved to a new town as well and also made the decision to quit during this time so I know how tough it can be. If you ever need someone to talk with, I'm here for you and so is everyone else here at SR.

I'm glad your back on the wagon, keep at it.
