new to forum, seeking recovery

Hello, all. I am not new to recovery or 12 step programs. I've actually struggled my entire adult life with alcoholism, addiction, an eating disorder, and other mental health issues. My counselor suggested I try doing 10 things that we listed together before I use an unhealthy coping mechanism, and one of the things was to post a message on a recovery forum board. So I'm posting. I'm not craving to use an unhealthy coping strategy right now, but I'm trying this out to see how it feels. Another thing on the list is to go to a meeting, which I'm about to do. I need to get back to meetings, so this is a good thing. Thanks for letting me post here.
