day 5 ... weird dreams

Today is day 5, this is the longest I've done since may/ June time.
Last night I had some very strange dreams, like mini dreams and they were all about drinking.
I woke up this morning initially worried that one of them had been real and I'd drank but was relieved to realise it was just a dream!!
Yesterday I had a few fleeting thoughts about buying wine but they quickly passed.
The sleeps getting gradually better though still feel shattered.
But all in all am ok.
Thank you to everyone that has read and commented on my previous threads without you this would of been far harder

Keep it going. Those dreams come and go. I haven't had one since really early sobriety.

Drinking dreams were common for me in the beginning and, even now - but very seldom; if I woke up relieved that it was only a dream, I thought it was okay. My thought was that, if I woke up feeling deprived or if I was having a great old time in the dream, I would need to add something to my sober plan.

I have a LOT going on in my dreams too during these early stages of recovery, not a lot of drinking dreams but I did have one last week where I drank wine at a restaurant. I remembered the feeling of failure and devastation when I woke up, then relief when I realized it was just a dream.

Congrats on day 5! Keep up the great work!
