I am getting pretty excited about hitting 30 days next week... but also having lots of AV thoughts of drinking "just one". I'm being VERY careful not to let myself be exposed to situations that might trigger me.

That's great DaisyBee! Keep strong. This is the time when that AV starts thinking that maybe you can take that drink. You know that first drink isn't going to make your life better.

Neighbors are passing out candy for the kids and jello shots for the grown ups! I swear alcohol is everywhere. When I saw that post on facebook I decided to let hubby take the little one out and I'm passing out the candy.

I use my analytical mind to think about....
The little buzz, that will eventually turn into a drunken stupor...
The hang over...head hurts, weak, BP up, etc
The brain damage
The anxiety...
Not worth the buzz...
Proud to be sober...
