Thanks. That's my fear having my thyroid removed. Was it really painful. That scares me. Thanks for the support. It seems like a lot of people are getting thyroids removed more nowadays. I keep hearing about it

Perhaps it's that people are more open about it? I have 2 friends who have had thyroid removed and have no regrets.

I saw one of them a couple of days after surgery. I don't have the impression that it was particularly painful and they were able to eat.

No sense stressing over it till it happens. There's nothing you can do about it and the actual event is usually nowhere near as bad you make it out in your head. Although not near the same, I had surgery last week that people were telling me would take months to recover from and would always bother me. I was back to work in 4 days and have almost no pain. I am not taking any pain meds either. Not saying this is the case in your situation but even if it isn't, is the unnecessary stress going to help the situation?
I used to be the king of stress and worrying and it was one of my main excuses for getting hammered. This is one of the things in my journey out that I've been working very hard to turn around. So far it's helped.

Take Care and good luck.

Waiting is so hard, but try to stay positive and good luck with the results of your tests.

plus stay away from Dr Google, that's never a good way forward!!
