OK, y'all, time to give it up.

The strongest hurricane EVER is about to hit Mexico. What ever you can do will help, even if it's just a positive thought. Those people are about to get catastrophically hammered. We've been there, right? Send them what you can.

I just saw that on the news - truly terrifying.

Good thoughts and many prayers for our friends in Mexico. I am sure that the Red Cross and other services will let us know how to help.

I hope it's not anywhere as bad as predicted. My thoughts go out to anyone affected by this, directly or not.

Hopefully the epicentre or "eye" will miss the heavily populated parts. I believe it is coming ashore right now

I saw where some Americans weren't leaving the beaches, and chose to boast about having a Hurricane party, with plenty of tequila. I can't imagine the nightmare that will turn out to be.

I'm keeping an eye on it and praying that it won't be too bad and to see what we can do to help.

A man was interviewed (sounded American) on TV; his statement was something to this effect:

"What's the problem; nothing is going to happen".

I shudder to think what will happen to him and to the emergency crews who will attempt to rescue him.

I truly hope this is a case of the media blowing something out of proportion as they have a tendency to do. Either way my thoughts aND prayers go out to all. Puts our struggles for sobriety in perspective that's for sure.

My prayers to those folks.. 165 mph winds are nothing to mess with. It's going to do damage, but hopefully dissipates quickly over the mountains. The problem was how fast it strengthened, it was a cat 4 yesterday. Praying for no loss of life.

I've got a friend who lives in the path of that.

Praying for the mountains to take some of its power before it does much damage.

Ok, we did it! No loss of life so far. No major damage. Lot of rain.

If we can do that...?
