Well, it was a good long run, but
My 17.5 months of good health was shattered by none other than the Common Cold/Bronchitis. What was my Fortress of Solitude has become a Fortress of Snot all in a few days. But, I can't complain; 'tis a long time to be Cold-free.
Oh, my Sobriety has held up just fine during the Snot Battles and Phlegm Incursions. This is actually the first time I've been legitimately sick and not drinking in a loooong time. And it's miserable!! The way colds are supposed to be!

Hope you feel better. I'm not looking forward to my first bout with illness, whenever it may come. I've been firmly of the belief for many years that the only real symtom relief is whiskey. I'm gonna need a different plan this winter.
