Day 9- turning the corner
Thanks to this forum and some unexplained resolve, I am about to close out day 9. I did six days then drank a week ago Saturday- but nothing since. Today was the first day I drove home and to run some errands without the urge to pull into the liquor store. I am sure there will be days with stronger urges, but I am starting to get glimpses of a normal life without alcohol, the strong urges, and minus the madness. Thanks all.
Kids - I struggle with that time of day right after work before I've had dinner and get the idea of glass of wine. Yesterday I had brief thoughts about it and worked through them - made some dinner and then the thoughts were gone. Me too - the impulsive thoughts are the hardest. I'm really strong in the morning and then my resolve kind of weakens as the day goes on. I think that's pretty common, though. Now that we're in double digits, we're at a whole new level
