90 Days!
Hello All,
Today I'm celebrating 90 days sober. I feel really happy about reaching this milestone because I haven't been gone without drinking for this long in 13 years. I only quit temporarily then because I was pregnant.
It sometimes seems hard to believe that I am staying sober. To be honest, when I quit I wasn't sure at all that I'd be able to keep it going. I realized early on that I have to recommit to sobriety every day, and I have to do *whatever it takes* to never drink. But it hasn't been easy some days. The physical cravings were gone early on, but the AV pops up sometimes, trying to convince me that I can moderate now, that I was never that bad, and all kinds of ridiculous bull****. I have to stay on my toes always.
As some of you know, I have told no one in my life about quitting, and I don't go to meetings or counseling. But I never feel alone in this fight because I have this fabulous SR team and all of you fellow members. You keep me strong and you keep me hopeful. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wisdom, the support, and the experience you share.

Delfin, you're an inspiration, I'm 42 days today, coming up to half of your 90...
The AV is an irritating pest, I'm thinking of developing another voice to combat it, I'm picturing comic superheroes:
VOR = Voice Of Reason
OTSTR = One That Speaks The Truth
Ideas?
