What's you favorite food to curb cravings?

Peanut Butter and strawberry jelly sandwiches and a glass of milk. My grandmother used to make them for me when I was little before school.

A lot of fruit juices help me. Orange juice and carrot juice. Sometimes a sweet like candy or cookies.

A big bowl of ice cream with either hot fudge or hot caramel topping.

Pistachios. The whole cracking routine and hand-to-mouth motions are very satisfying to my need for addictions.

M&Ms and cranberry juice mixed with soda water. These keep me sane.

Fruit juice has been a big help to me. I like making a mix of pineapple and coconut.

I was told when I was in early sobriety that if I suffered cravings that something sweet can help

In detox I just eat whatever I have to/can to get through. The first month I try to stay away from sugar but if I'm having an intense craving I feed it what it needs (anything other than alcohol ). After that I know from experience, for me, the sugar and carbs long term increase my cravings by spiking and crashing my insulin (and I'm talking all carbs, even fruit and juice). So I really try to stick to a Paleo approach (I'm doing ketogenic right now just for laughs...I like to focus on things). But healthy fat and protein do better to alleviate cravings overall. That takes care of the physical side. If its psychological I try to pinpoint what is driving the craving....often times deep breathing, yoga or other exercise handle it nicely.

I made flourless brownies using the skinnytaste recipe to curb cravings. I'd top the brownies with vanilla whipped cream.

Homemade macaroni and cheese or shrimp fettuccine alfredo. I stuff myself. If not a full meal, chips and cashews to munch on.

I think I'm past the sugar cravings at this point. I do eat sweets but not in an effort to curb cravings.

When I'm stressed and an urge hits I reach for my bubbly seltzer water. On the rocks. Sometimes with a squeeze of lime. Sometimes I get the flavored seltzer - La Croix coconut or grapefruit are my go-to flavors.

I keep a canister full of french roast coffee beans as well.

And also, lots of different kinds of teas.

when I first got sober I ate chocolate like it was the last thing on earth to eat.
I ate more chocolate candy in six months than I ate in the previous 20 years combined.

Now I rarely if ever eat any kind of candy at all. Ice cream is a nice treat too for cravings.

There were these dark chocolate nuggets filled with some sort of pomegranate middles I ate for a while. Oh they were so good! Can't remember the brand, but found them at a Sam's Club.
