Today I opened a new checking account at a new bank. I feel this is one more thing I'm doing to wipe all alcohol out of my life. This new account has never had a purchase of alcohol from it. Soon I will be at a new job in a position where I have never come hung over. I will also be in a new apartment where I have never been drunk or had alcohol in.

It is amazing at how I feel about this. I feel like I am cleansing the negative out of my life. Like a clean slate. It's up to me to keep the slate clean from alcohol and continue moving forward in positive ways.

Today I have a feeling of accomplishment like a huge step has been taken. It is really strange/weird to me the happiness I feel from something so "small"... a new checking account. lol

Today I am happy and for that I am grateful.

Brilliant, Sinderos.

A life without alcohol is so refreshing. The reminders of what alcoholism brought to our lives are so painful.

Way to go. Barring any calamity, I should have saved some money this month. It took a few months to get here, but it feels good. Little things.

Today I threw out all those almost empty bottles of stuff in the bathroom that I have been staring at for about 6 months but never got around to getting rid of because there was always drinking to do. So Amen to the little things.
